Welcome to Valley Township. With a population of just over 6,400 people, it is one of the fastest growing communities in Chester County. Valley Township is a Second Class Township which is governed by a Board of Supervisors.

Valley Township was formed in 1852 by a decree of the court. It was composed of a considerable slice off the south end of West Caln and a small slice off the south end of West Brandywine. It is half its original size having been reduced in size by the incorporation of the Borough of Coatesville in 1867 and in 1868 by the creation of the Township of Caln.

A Beef & Beer fundraiser, including a Silent Auction, will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012, at The 1910 Ballroom of the Coatesville Moose (1200 Airport Road), Coatesville, starting at 6:00 p.m. Cost is $20.00 per person and tickets can be purchased at the Township Building at 890 West Lincoln Highway, Coatesville, during normal business hours of 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. Cash sales only. Proceeds will benefit the Summer Youth Programs.
The Authority is also looking for Silent Auction donations. If you would like to donate an item for the Auction, please refer to the attached Donation Form or call the Township Office for more information (610 384-5751, ext. 12 or 21).
Regal movie tickets are available for sale to residents and non-residents for $8.50 each. CASH SALES ONLY. Tickets may be purchased at the Township Office during normal business hours. Tickets are for unrestricted access to any movie at any Regal, United Artist, or Edwards theatres. Surcharge fees at the theatre apply to all 3D, IMAX, large format, RPX and Real D Films. Proceeds benefit the Valley Township Parks & Recreation Authority programs. See flyer for additional information.
Real Estate Tax Payments can be paid at the Township Building from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the following dates: May 30 & May 31
If you wish to pay with cash, you must come to the township office on the dates and times stated above which is also noted on your tax bill. The office staff cannot accept cash payments. Only payments being made with check or money order can be accepted by the staff on dates when the Tax Collector is not in the office. Do not include your tax payment on the same check with any other payment to Valley Township (water, sewer, trash payment, rental registration fee payment, alarm permit, etc.). These checks will be returned and could jeopardize your discount period.
Effective January 1, 2012 the following rates will be in effect:
Sewer
Flat (no metered water) - $176.00 quarterly
Rate based on metered water - First 10,000 gallons - $143.00 per quarter; $8.60 for each additional 1,000 gallons
Water
First 10,000 gallons - $84.35 quarterly
Each additional 1,000 gallons - $8.40

Health Fair Sponsors/Participants
Water/Sewer/Trash bills for the 4th Quarter of 2011 were mailed on March 30. If you did not receive your bill, contact the Township Office at 610 384-5751. Late penalties will not be waived due to lost bills. Payments can be made via U.S. Mail (P.O. Box 467, Coatesville, PA 19320) or in person at the Township Office (890 West Lincoln Highway, Coatesville), between the hours of 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday. A fee of $30 is assessed for a returned check. To better service you when paying in person, please have both copies of your bill with you. We do not accept post-dated checks.
