The Valley Township Board of Supervisors will hold a Special Meeting on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. at Rainbow Elementary School, 1113 West Lincoln Highway, Coatesville, in the school's All Purpose Room to hear public comment and discussion regarding alternatives to close Buckthorn Drive between Tuxford Lane and Oaklyn Lane to eliminate thru traffic to and from Airport Road.

If you are a person with a disability and wish to attend the meeting on the date set forth above and require an auxiliary aid, service or other accommodation to observe or participate in the proceedings, please contact the Township Secretary at 610 385-5751 to discuss how the Township may accommodate your needs.

Notice: Request for Proposals for the Multi-Municipal Economic Development Study


The multi-municipal partnership consisting of the City of Coatesville, the Borough of South Coatesville, and Valley Township, contiguous municipalities located in Chester County, Pennsylvania, is seeking to hire a qualified, professional economic development firm to evaluate opportunities for economic development in the tri-municipal area and provide an action-oriented business attraction strategy and implementation plan that is acceptable to all three municipalities. The Valley Township Board of Supervisors adopted the 2019 budget on December 18, 2018 . There is no real estate tax increase proposed with the 2019 budget. click here to view. 

Environmental Advisory Council Openings

Valley Township is currently seeking volunteers to fill 1 vacant position on the Environmental Advisory Council. Letters of interest can be emailed to or mailed to: Valley Township, Attention:  Township Secretary, PO Box 467, Coatesville, PA  19320.


Upcoming Events

Residents are invited to attend one of two public meetings to participate in the Brandywine Creek Water Trail Study. These events provide the public with opportunities to share your ideas on water routes you currently use,  areas that are unsafe and need improvement, and opportunities for better stewardship and education.
