The Parks and Recreation Committee sponsors many events and programs such as Valley Day, Easter Egg Hunt, Children's Christmas Party, sports programs, assistance to families in need, etc. The committee works with local volunteers and businesses to provide these programs and activities.
The Parks and Recreation Committee meets the 4th Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Valley Township Municipal Building.
The township has three parks: the Hayti Park next to the Township Building in Hayti, The Rock Run Park on Irish Lane in Rock Run, and The John A. Givney Park on Valley Road in Westwood. All three parks have play structures, basketball courts and a pavilion.
To reserve a pavilion or park space, please complete the attached Permit for Park Assembly form and review Ordinance #92-5 regulating the use, regulations, and conduct for the parks.
